On July 12, 2012 our beloved Phoebe is tuning 23! So I thought it would be a great idea for us fans to get together and send her a little something, to show her how much we love her! Details are below…

Start Date :  April 1, 2012

End Date :  July 1, 2012

What kind of project is it? A simple video to show her that we will always support and love her!

How to be a part of the project? It’s really simple. All you have to do is make a video or take a picture of yourself wishing Phoebe a very Happy 23rd Birthday!

If you choose to do a video it can’t be longer than 15 seconds and if you take a picture try to have the best quality as possible. You can also submit fan-art, drawings and/or submit a Message using the form below and it will be placed in a Birthday Card. Let’s make her birthday gift the best one.

The deadline to send in your Videos/Pictures/messages is July 1th 2012. Send it to phoebetonkinnetwork@hotmail.com , if you have any problem please contact me.

I will upload the video on youtube on July 12th and we’ll have to tweet it to phoebe so she sees it. We need as many fans as possible to participate so don’t forget to share and tell all the phoebe  fans you know about the project!!

Let’s talk about the fashion on the show. What do you think about it so far?
It’s great! I mean we have the most fabulous costume designer. Her name’s Katia, and she is amazing. You know, I think she definitely has made our characters very different in the way that we dress. I mean for Faye she’s kind of put in a lot of tight stuff because I think Faye like using her sexuality especially around guys and I think that’s kind of another one of the powers that she uses to get what she wants. But it’s also just kind of cool. I mean it’s all kind of slouchy and dark and they have lots of jewelry and lots of texture. Yeah, it’s cool that the show is kind of developing its own kind of style that kind of goes between looking witchy and also being kind of modern and what kids are really wearing at school for the moment.

Were you a fan of The Vampire Diaries before getting cast?
I started watching Vampire Diaries just after I filmed the pilot, and it’s great. I’m up to the second season now, and it’s awesome. I know Shelley and I started watching it around the same time and we kind of like talked to each other and were like, “Wow, like, this is so cool. What an honor that we’re following this show because it is so good.” So, hopefully the people that are watching that show will like our show because The Vampire Diaries is really, really cool.

Q: We really liked you in the movie Tomorrow When the War Began and we want to know, which character do you relate more to? Faye or Fiona?

A: I relate to Fi more than Faye, in fact a few of the lines that I said in the movie were taken from experiences I had in high school that I felt were similar to the feelings that Fi was feeling about being insecure. Faye is very far from who I am, I am never malicious although I can be a bit sarcastic like her.

Q: Do you like acting with an American accent? Can you switch back and forth throughout the day, or do you need to stay in the American accent while filming?

A: I switch back to Australian when the director calls cut, but it’s a bit of a hybrid. I pronounce some letters stronger than I would if I was speaking with an Australian accent, like the ‘r’ sound. Read the rest of this entry »
